All other passports

Form part of the New Earth Academy Project, which provides free specialist training and opportunities in the performing arts for British East and Southeast Asians* (BESEA) aged 18+ living in the UK. All Other Passports’ was a devising process written by Joanne Lau and directed by Broderick Chow and Myself at Central Royal School Speech and Drama around the immigration situation in the summer of 2023. during the first part of the process, I focused on creating a sense of ensemble simultaneously, empowering each actor’s uniqueness. I offered improvisation exercises around immigration, exploring personal resounds with it. In the second part, we worked based on scenes Joanne wrote inspired by our improvisations. I used the Laban and Michel Chejok technique.
