Rebeca Pereira is a Latin American Director, Movement Director, Teacher, and Actor who specialises in bridging performance and embodied practices. Passionate about the transformative power of movement and storytelling, she thrives in her work at the intersection of acting, movement, and somatic education. Through her innovative Movement practice, Rebeca explores the creative potential of human physicality and creativity, celebrating the uniqueness and identities of individuals and groups, fostering deep connections, and promoting a holistic sense of well-being.

Rebeca Holds an M.F.A in Movement; Direction and Teaching from The Central Royal School of Speech and Drama (2024). She trained as a Director at the University Finis Terrae (2019) and earned a B.A. in Drama and contemporary acting from the University of Chile (2016). In 2017, she also contributed as a Researcher and movement Teacher for the Theatre and Education Itinerant (TEI) project, culminating in the publication of ‘Theatre and Education: Dialogues for a Critical Pedagogy of the Scene’ (DETUCH) 2017. Since settling in London, Rebeca has worked in leading drama schools, organisations and universities, including at CSSD, LAMDA, East 15, Courtyard Theatre and New Earth Academy. 

Her diverse movement background includes training in Yoga (200 RYT, India, 2021), Mobility specialist (FRC, USA, 2021), and Animal flow (Chile, 2020). She also has non-formal training in contemporary dance (Contac Impro, Passing trough, floorwork) and sports (boxing, climbing and surfing), which offer a holistic and versatile approach to movement.

Rebeca is actively involved in the movement and performance scene in London and her country (Chile). She is a proud member of the International Community for Movement (ICM) and the Shapes and Motion organisation, with whom she collaborates and innovates. Rebeca’s work reflects her commitment to the transformative potential of movement, creating spaces for expression, growth, community and connection.
