London
Directed by Abigail Graham, ‘London’ is a play by Keiran Knowles based on London Labour and the London Poor, two masterpieces of personal inquiry and social observation by Henry Mayhew. The plays offer a compelling portrait of the conditions of poor people’s lives and the eternal inability of those with power to change conditions for those without. As a Movement Director, I worked with the actors on this show to create a sense of ensemble through rhythm and musicality. I offered them physical tools to connect the imagination with the physicality of basic needs -used laban terminology for technical aspects- and choreographed a dance scene. This show was part of the final show of the MA acting program at LAMDA in the winter of 2022.
